We envision Allegheny County as a place where children and their families can live, learn, and grow in a lead-safe environment. This is why our coalition – comprised of individuals and organizations across sectors and across our county – works together to drive strategic initiatives, advocacy, and collaboration to protect our community from lead.
Here in Allegheny County, we face the impacts of aging, deteriorating infrastructure every day. Lead is commonly found in our homes and other spaces in paint, dust, soil, and water, so we are collectively committed to advancing primary prevention policies, identifying and remediating lead hazards, and protecting our children from the lifelong effects of exposure to lead.
